Poem of the Day

(Courtesy of SP, who forwarded it to me after pulling it from Jenny G's blog, because he's such a fan!)

You can hunt and you can forage,

Pull your dictionary from storage,

Open every clasp and door hinge,

Look for solace in your porridge,

But however strong your courage,

There's no word that rhymes with purple.

Here's one I wrote myself:

There will be another song for me
For I will sing it
There will be another dream for me
Someone will bring it
I will drink the wine while it is warm
And never let you catch me looking at the sun
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves of my life
You'll still be the one.

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake
out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

Here's one I wrote for you:

If I
Should stay
I would only be in your way
So I'll go
But I know
I'll think of you every step of
the way

And I...
Will always
Love you, oohh
Will always
Love you
You

OOOOOOO OOO OOO!

You so stole that from someone and I am going to find out who!

It's funny because it's true.
