I watched tonight's Democratic National Convention on TV. After a string of mediocre speeches, Hillary came on, and the voltage was turned up to High.
I listened to her speech, and I confess that I cried throughout it. Because my heart is broken. I will vote for Obama, because to vote for McCain is unthinkable. I'm optimistic that the Obama/Biden team will be good for the country. I am.
But damn. Watching Hillary on that stage, I saw again what an incredible president she would have made, and what we have passed up.
