Sometimes people in relationships just piss me off.

I love having to wait for other people's freaking Couple Schedules to make time for friendship. I especially like going to a local bar alone to hear a fun band because The Couple has to go to the laundromat to wash the cat pee out of their couch cover. Cat pee -- I LOST OUT TO CAT PEE.

It's sick - not even in relationships have I been able to pull this shit off because I always end up with men who make time for friends, family, kids, ex-girlfriends, work, groupies -- you name it, just as long as it's not me. So when I'm in a relationship I get ignored by my partner; when I'm not, I get ignored by everyone else.

I always swore I would never be the type of person who takes her friends for granted when she dates someone. I've changed my mind; I fucking WELCOME it. Just for ONCE to be able to say, "Sorry, can't - my boyfriend and I have something really trivial and pointless to do together. Make your own damn fun."

Sorry I didn't answer the phone yesterday. Indrew and I spent the day at Ikea.

At least it's an improvement over the half-naked fat guy I found you with in my Boston apartment when I came home early.

Which in turn was better than the guy who brought scabies (SCABIES!) into my home.
