Wing In The Ghetto

SP got me Wing's ABBA CD, and got a nice handwritten thank-you note from her. She's so sweet and earnest, and has worked so hard, and she is just plain awful. Maybe it's her determination, her tenacity in following her dream despite having no talent, her relentless optimism and willingness to put herself out there that is really the draw for people. I see her as proof that what' s important is that the performer simply enjoys doing she she loves; for the audience the pleasure is in being part of that, being trusted with that, and enjoying it. It's an act of love on both sides.

I can't listen to her for long, but I love her anyway.
